I had my baby today!!!!

And It's a GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please help me welcome little miss Madison Rose!

It's a BIG girl, 9 lbs 8 oz, 21 inches long, born at 1:22 p.m. Central Time on June 21, 2000...

I SO wanted a girl, and I am SO EXCITED... I feel great, I can't believe I had a baby today.... It went EXTREMELY fast, everyone had to rush to get in there, and the doc came running in in suit and tie to catch the baby... it's quite funny now, but at the time when they were trying to tell me to stop pushing, I didn't find it so funny! 2 pushes and she was out. No rips, no tears, no episiotomy. I had some very painful contractions, and again (as with William) went from 2 to 10 centimeters in less than a half hour, ouch!)... I had Nubane as a pain killer and was once again deprived my epidural due to moving so fast... about 3 minutes before I started pushing, the nurse had come in and chastised me for complaining when I was only 2 centimeters, and that they couldn't do an epidural until I was at least 4 centimeters... I felt so awful, and NO WONDER, they found out when I started pushing 3 minutes later I had already gone through transition and was fully dilated - plenty of reason to complain! The Nubane didn't do a whole
lot for the pain for me... It DID make me not care though, I just felt really floaty, and felt the pain, just didn't care... kind of weird, but that's the best way to explain it. It was SO funny (now) when the nurse went to check my dilation, and all of a sudden I screamed that I had to push while she was just putting her hand down there... all of a sudden she felt this big bulge (baby entering birth canal, I assume), and yelled for Brent to push the panic button...

I feel ready to go home now, but we're staying overnight, but not the two days, unless something goes downhill tonight... She is SO perfect guys...
